I had a fab time today walking in central london in the almost spring like weather . I was doing a travelling coaching session . A very powerful experience , just like the walking meditations of the medieval monks , walking clears the mind . Something about the body engaging with the mind, the rhythm , the focus makes things clearer ? But why is it ? the extra hormones moving around the body , the increased heard rate that tricks the mind .
The yoga and zen community always preaches that slowing the body down slows the mind ? Not sure ? Yesterday I heard a guy on the tv say he was at his most clarity when he was driving a formulae one racing car . Tennis players say they get into the flow . The world is made up of so much stuff , so many moving parts, putting all the components into one soup as clear as miso is something we all need . Walking coaching can certainly help……….
